Olivier Giroud has worries about squad

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has voiced his concerns about the lack of depth at the club and believes it could be their down-fall when challenging for titles.

The Gunners had a mass clear-out in the summer, selling over 15 players and unfortunately for them, the arrivals were a lot less, with only three new players coming into the Emirates Stadium.

Despite their match-day squad being full of talent, there are worries what could happen if Arsene Wenger’s men start picking up injuries, which they have been doing recently, and Giroud believes the small squad could be a real problem for the future.

“We have a quality squad but I’m a bit scared about the numbers we have,” he added. “We will face problems because of the numbers in our squad.

“We’ll do everything we can to rival the big clubs, but saying that we want to win the Champions League is a bit presumptuous when you see that Bayern had to play in three finals before winning one.
