Joan Laporta claims Frenchman wants Nou Camp move
FC Barcelona presidential election candidate Joan Laporta has revealed that Juventus star Paul Pogba is excited about the prospect of joining the Catalan giants.
The Frenchman is expected to leave The Old Lady sooner rather than later, however, if Laporta is right with his comments, Pogba is likely to remain with the Serie A champions at least one more season.
Barca are under a transfer embargo, meaning they cannot sign anyone this summer, but with Pogba favouring a move to Spain and in particular to the Nou Camp, he could delay his transfer another season.
Pogba is a wanted man, with Chelsea, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all reportedly interested in signing him, but according to Barca’s presidential candidate, the powerhouse only has eyes on a move to Barcelona.
Laporta Confident of Pogba Deal
“Pogba is very excited to come to Barcelona,” Laporta told Catalunya Radio.
“I have a very good relationship with Mino Raiola.
“It would be one of the best signings.
“Everyone believes that he would fit into this team.”
It’s believed the transfer fee for Pogba would be over £60million, making him one of the most expensive players in world football.
