The Black Cats to take on The Foxes on opening day

After managing to persuade Dick Advocaat to stay on for another year, Sunderland will be hoping he can reproduce his magic of last season and keep them in the Premier League.

A 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium last season confirmed their Premier League status and they will start the new season away against Leicester City.

Advocaat‘s first home game of the season will be against newly-promoted Norwich City. Sunderland end their campaign away at other promoted side Watford.
