Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso is being watched by three Premier League clubs as his contract in Spain expires in the Summer.
Manchester United, Chelsea and his former-side Liverpool are all monitoring the situation at the Bernabeu and will all be ready to make offers to the Spaniard if he doesn’t choose to renew his deal at Madrid.
Reports in Spain are suggesting that the club and Alonso will sit down and discuss a contract in the next few weeks, so it won’t be clear until then whether or not he will be leaving the Spanish giants and whether he will be in line for a move-back to England and the Premier League.
It is believed that Madrid want to keep the 32-year-old, but the lack of contract discussions so far is worrying them, with three Premier League giants waiting around the corner to try and snap up the talented midfielder.
