Paris Saint-Germain ‘place €400m price-tag’ on unsettled star Neymar.
Neymar is reportedly still on Real Madrid’s radar with the Spanish club now aware of what they will need to break the bank in order to sign the Brazilian.
PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has repeated on a number of occasions that the player is not for sale but according to AS, a fee of €400m could allow the 26-year-old to return to La Liga.
It’s believed that Real Madrid delegates met with Neymar’s father and two attorneys last week to explore a potential move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
Madrid are ‘aware’ of Neymar’s desire to return to Spain and it was clear to see a positive on-field relationship between him, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos during the Champions League last-16 first leg.
Florentino Pérez said on the El Larguero radio programme last December that: “Neymar would stand a better chance to win the Ballon d’Or playing with Real Madrid as Madrid is a club that gives back what every great player needs”.
Since the signing of Gareth Bale in 2013, the La Liga giants have not signed a player of “Galáctico” proportions and have identified Neymar as the key player to lead the front line in a post-Ronaldo era.
