Rio Ferdinand is set to have a medical today to complete his move from Manchester United to QPR.
The experienced defender left United at the end of last season and is availible for a free transfer.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp was the first to strike talks with the talisman, after the defender has attracted heavy interest from various clubs around the world.
The 35-year-old held talks with Rangers boss Harry Redknapp earlier this week following his return from Brazil where he had been working as a television pundit on the World Cup.
