Chinese Super League transfer window is still open
Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao could still have an escape route from Stamford Bridge – but only if he wants to play in China.
The Colombian international, who is on-loan at Chelsea for the season from AS Monaco, was spending Transfer Deadline Day in Spain hoping for a loan-move back to former-club Atletico Madrid.
However, after Jackson Martinez failed to secure a move away from Atletico, Diego Simeone decided against signing Falcao as he couldn’t fit him in his squad.
Due to the breakdown, Falcao is now stuck at Chelsea with the club now having four strikers due to Loic Remy also failing to secure a move away.
Falcao to China?
Falcao can still leave West London this month however, but only if he wants to move to the Chinese Super League.
The transfer window is still open in China and it remains open for the remainder of February, meaning Falcao has a month to secure a transfer away from Stamford Bridge.
It’s reported that Jiangsu Suning are interested in signing the striker, and they have done business with Chelsea already this month after they landed Ramires in a deal worth £24.2million.
Despite the English and the French transfer window being shut, Falcao can still complete a move to China should he choose to.
