Reports in Spain suggest the Belgian remains a target for Real Madrid after closely monitoring him during his time at Atletico.

Real have already completed the signing of Costa Rican goalkeeper Kaylor Navas and the former Levante man will fight for a place against the uncertain Casillas and incumbent Diego Lopez under Carlo Ancelotti.

This has led to widespread speculation that Casillas’ spell with the club may be coming to an end, with Arsenal reportedly tracking the situation surrounding the 33 year-old.

The long serving Madrid goalkeeper has been with the clubs since joining the youth ranks in 1990 and has spent the last 16 years as the first choice keeper at the Bernabeu.

And while Lopez and Navas could temporarily fill the position, the European champions would be looking to sign Courtois as a long term replacement.

Chelsea reportedly have no inention opf selling right now, with boss Jose Mourinho still yet to decude who will be the first choice keeper at Stamford Bridge next season.

But Real are aware that the young Belgian will not settle for being back-up to Petr Cech and could make a bid if Chelsea decide to stick with long serving Cech.
