Borussia Dortmund midfielder Marco Reus is keen to join Premier League side Manchester United, according to former team-mate Mario Gotze.

The German international, who is now playing for rivals Bayern Munich, has revealed in an interview that Reus told him that his dream was to play for United, and the Munich-man believes that is still the case.

David Moyes has been closely watching Reus throughout the season and is prepared to spend around ÂŁ30million on the German in the Summer.

According to reports, United will have around ÂŁ200million to spend on transfers in order to improve the squad which has failed on so many levels this season, and if Gotze is to be believed, Reus could be one of the players coming into Old Trafford.

“When I was at Borussia, Marco wanted a move to Manchester United,” said Gotze. “This hasn’t changed.”

Reus has scored 19-goals so far this season and has also attracted interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, but it’s believed that United are prepared to offer the midfielder around ÂŁ200k-a-week.
