Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie could be prepared to make a dramatic return to former-club Arsenal, despite leaving them just two years ago.
According to reports, the Dutch striker is unhappy at Old Trafford and is keen on making a shock return to the Emirates Stadium in order to work with Arsene Wenger once again.
Van Persie, who guided United to their 20th title last season, signed for The Red Devils for around £24million in a move that shocked the world, but if reports are to be believed, he could be moving back for just £15million.
It has been suggested that Van Persie is unhappy with a few things at United and that he could be part of David Moyes’ Summer clear-out.
The 30-year-old is reportedly unhappy with the training regimes at the club and has an uneasy relationship with Moyes, which is one of the main reasons behind him wanting to leave.
Van Persie is also feeling lied to by the club as he was not told about Sir Alex Ferguson’s intentions to retire when he signed for the club, and he was also annoyed when Rene Meulensteen left the club, as he was the main reason the striker joined the club.
Another issue for the striker is that his family hasn’t settled well in the Chesire area and it is thought that a move to London is what they are interested in.
However, Van Persie’s future much relies on Wayne Rooney’s one too as if Moyes can keep the Englishman, it’s likely that Van Persie will leave.
