Cristiano Ronaldo has again given a subtle hint that he would like to return to England.
The former Manchester United star told reporters
“I miss English football.”
“For me, it was one of the best years in my career when I was there in Manchester United. Everyone knows that it is a club that is still in my heart and I really, really miss.”
“But now my life is in Spain. I am enjoying playing there too.”
“Part of my life is there, but in the future we never know.”
There has been constant speculation over the last year linking Ronaldo with a return to Old Trafford and these latest remarks by the Madrid hitman will no doubt add fuel to the fire.
The 28 year old has two years left on his deal at Madrid but is yet to give any indication that he is willing to sign a new one, despite Real’s attempts to curb the rumours by announcing on several occasions that they intend to agree fresh terms with Ronaldo.
Any move back to Manchester however is dependent on United sorting out the future of want away striker Wayne Rooney and shipping out the likes of Nani and Anderson who look set to depart for pastures new.
