Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has stated that Tomas Rosicky is one of the best players he has ever played with.
The Gunners duo have been controlling the midfield in recent weeks due to injuries to Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey, and speaking to the club’s official website, Ozil admitted that the Czech international is one of the very best players.
Rosicky, who is out of contract in the Summer, has been in fine form for Arsenal and recently said playing alongside the likes of Ozil and Santi Cazorla as ‘fun’, and the German international has re-paid the compliments to the 33-year-old.
“The feeling is mutual because we are similar types of player,” Ozil told Arsenal Player. “We’re strong when we’re on the ball, we play quickly and I have lots of fun playing alongside the team.
“In my opinion Tomas belongs to the best midfielders in the Premier League. When you see how much he gives for the team and how he enjoys being on the ball it makes us happy to have a player like that in our ranks.”
