According to reports, Ruben Loftus-Cheek will leave Stamford Bridge and find a loan move to another club provided he’s not given enough playng time under Maurizio Sarri.
Loftus-Cheek has been anything but a regular for Chelsea ever since joining the club in 2014. Last season, the 22-year old midfielder spent the entire season at Crystal Palace on loan. Loftus-Cheek had a pretty impressive season at Palace. He played 25 matches for the club across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 5 assists. His performances eventually earned him a place in England’s squad for the World Cup this summer.
Loftus-Cheek started in England’s game against Panama and both the matches against Belgium. He also came on as a late substitute in the team’s World Cup opener against Tunisia.
Following an impressive showing at Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek is hoping to have a breakthrough season at Chelsea. However, he will have a very tough time trying to seal a place in the starting XI with so many quality players present in the Chelsea midfield.
