Liverpool star bags September prize
Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has been rewarded for his excellent start to the season by bagging the PFA Player of the Month award for September.
Mane signed for Liverpool in July, their most expensive signing in their history, from Southampton for £36million.
He’s impressed in a Reds shirt ever since, despite having a big tag to live up to. The pacey winger has not let anyone down yet with some fantastic performances. He grabbed a goal on his debut away at Arsenal on the opening weekend, a goal against Leicester at home in a 4-1 win, and most recently another goal in a 5-1 thrashing of Hull at Anfield.
After scoring three goals in just five Premier League games and remaining unbeaten while on the pitch for the Reds, Mane has been handed the PFA Player of the Month award.
Mane beat the likes of Diego Costa, Michail Antonio and Kevin de Bruyne who have all had fantastic starts to the new season.
