Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla hailed the side’s performance during their 2-0 victory over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur yesteday in the FA Cup.
Goals from Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky gave Arsene Wenger’s men a comfortable win at the Emirates Stadium and saw them progress to the fourth round of the cup, and knock out their fierce-rivals.
After the game, Cazorla spoke to the club’s official website and revealed his delighted at yet another Derby-day victory, but he also admitted that the boys must focus and get ready for the rest of the season now.
“We played really well as a team,” he said. “Tottenham have some good players but we played at a good level and we just need to continue that now.
“We need to play every game very well. Now we have a rest for a week and then we’re away at Aston Villa – we need to win that.
Cazorla praised Theo Walcott’s performance as he played a key role through the middle as a central striker against Tottenham.
“He is a different [type of] player because we always play Giroud or Bendtner up front,” he said. “But Theo is very quick and played very well.”
