Winger leaves Liverpool for 4-year deal at Carrow Road
Sergi Canos has left Liverpool for Norwich, signing a 4-year deal believed to be worth around up to £4.5million including add-ons.
The 19-year old, who once belonged to Barcelona’s youth system, spent last season out on loan at Brentford from Liverpool in the Championship, where he impressed, scoring 7 goals in 39 matches for the Bees.
He’s now signed a 4-year deal for Norwich, despite Bristol City also having a bid accepted for the youngster.
Due to wage disagreements, Canos rejected a new deal at Liverpool, and now his deal at Norwich has the option of a further 12 months. However, Liverpool have included a buy-back clause.
He comes in following fellow winger Nathan Redmond’s departure to Southampton.
Canaries boss Alex Neil told the club website: “We wanted to replace Nathan with someone exciting; someone who can dribble, can score goals and can provide assists.
“Hopefully Sergi can show everybody how good he can be.”
