Comedian interrupted Sepp Blatter’s press conference yesterday

Simon Brodkin, a British comedian, has been charged by Swiss authorities for trespassing after interrupting Sepp Blatter’s press conference yesterday.

The comedian, who was portraying a character known as Lee Nelson, burst onto the stage where Blatter was sitting and threw fake money all over him before trying to talk to those in attendance.

The 38-year-old comic was arrested and hauled off the stage by police and then later release after questioning.

However, it has been revealed that he will be charged for trespassing.

Police Statement

“He will be charged for trespassing because he wasn’t allowed to enter the building,” a police spokesman said.

“If there will be a trial it is still to be decided by the prosecutor. Trespassing in Switzerland is just prosecuted by request like other minor crimes”

Brodkin is known for his ability to gatecrash certain events.

He recently crashed Kanye West‘s set at Glastonbury and has previously joined a pre-match warm-up with Manchester City.

The comedian also attempted to board England‘s plane for the World Cup, but was hauled away after security realised who he was.
