Liverpool look set to be missing SIX key players for their first Champions League game in 5 years.

Joe Allen (knee) misses out along with fellow midfielder Emre Can (ankle), striker Daniel Sturridge and defender Glen Johnson (both thigh).

Liverpool’s signing Lazar Markovic is suspended, while centre-back Martin Skrtel is still a week away from fitness.

Winger Raheem Sterling will start after being dropped to the bench for the home defeat to Aston Villa, while Mario Balotelli is to keep his place despite failing to find his first goal in a Liverpool shirt.
