Crystal Palace goalkkeper Julian Speroni believes that his side can maintain their current form, and go onto survive in the Premier League.

Palace have experienced an up turn in fortune following Tony Pulis’ appointment as manager, with results improving, and morale higher at Selhurst Park.

Pulis has oversaw an improvement at the Croydon club, with an improving December.

The highlight of the month being a superb 1 0 win at Aston Villa on Boxing Day, the Eagles also beat relegation rivals West Ham in December, but have since slipped back into the bottom three, but Speroni is confident they are on the right path.

The Eagles were unfortunate not to get a result away at Manchester City, and played out a spirited draw against Norwich City yesterday.

Speroni stated following the home point….

“I think it was a very, very positive time for us,” he said. “We managed to get some good points and build a team that is solid and get some good performances in and there is a lot to take from that.

“The lads are starting to get to know Tony Pulis better and I’m sure there is more to come. The manager and chairman will sit down and see what they can do in the window but we don’t know.

Speroni did concede that there has been little to enjoy from the New Year’s Day fixture in atrocious conditions at Selhurst Park.

“The conditions I think played a big part. It was a very tough game for both teams,” he said.

“Horrible really, horrible conditions. The ball was moving around all the time, the rain and everything. But again, it was the same for both teams.

“We wanted three points. That was the idea. We went on to the park thinking of winning the game. And sadly we couldn’t. But I think we played well and there’s a lot of positives to take from that.”
