Mark Hughes keen on Victor Moses, Patrick Bamford or Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Stoke City will inform Chelsea their desires to take one player on a season-long loan if they are to sell Asmir Begovic.

The Bosnian shot-stopper is heavily tipped to make the switch from the Britannia Stadium to Stamford Bridge in order to replace Petr Cech, who joined Arsenal earlier this week.

However, The Potters aren’t interested in losing their number-one, unless they get a player in return for a season-long loan.

Trio of Options

According to reports, Mark Hughes is eyeing up Victor Moses, who was on loan at Stoke for last season, Patrick Bamford, who was on loan at Middlesbrough of the Championship or Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who had a breakthrough year last season making several first-team performances.

It’s believed Stoke want ÂŁ8million for Begovic plus one of the above mentioned players on a temporary deal.

Examining the Stoke Targets

Moses was at the Britannia last season after completing a season-long loan, and he went on to make 23 appearances, scoring four goals for Hughes‘ men.

As for Bamford, he won Championship Player of the Year for his stint at Middlesbrough as he helped them reach the playoff final, only to be beaten at Wembley by Norwich City.

The striker scored 19 goals last term for the Northerners.

Loftus-Cheek is another potential option for Hughes and Stoke after the centre-midfielder make a handful of first-team appearances for The Blues last season.

However, he is still behind Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas in the pecking order, and if rumours are to be believed, Jose Mourinho is in the market for a new midfielder.

Stoke will hold formal talks with Chelsea regarding their desires over the next few weeks.
