Luis Suarez has spoken of his future in the recent Anfield Charity Match, saying that he will return to Liverpool should he return to England at all.
Suarez returned to Anfield and lined up alongside former Red Fernando Torres – a partnership many Reds’ fans were excited to watch.
The Uruguayan, who left for Barcelona for £75m this summer, was philosophical over his future in a post-match interview.
“You never know in football what the future holds, but if I ever play in England again I will play for the Liverpool team and not another team.”
Such is his affection for his former team, Suarez insisted on playing a full half when his employers wanted him to play only 15 minutes.
