Sunderland are interested in signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on a season-long loan deal.
The Black Cats, who somehow survived relegation last season thanks to Guy Poyet and their incredible change of form, are now preparing for yet another season in top-flight football, and they are keen on signing Zouma on loan.
Chelsea, who paid £12million to sign the Frenchman from St Etienne back in January, believe he will be the long-term replacement for veteran John Terry, but at just 19-years-old, the feeling around the club is that he may not be ready for first-team football just yet.
After signing him in January, Jose Mourinho allowed him to stay in Ligue 1 until the end of the season, and he may once again choose to loan him out in order to gain more first-team experience.
