The swede is currently manager of chinese side Guangzhou R&F and he has admitted to being a boyhood Liverpool fan. He has also said that he reckons that the liverpool side can challange for the league if they keep their form up.

Sven Goran Eriksson said: “In the past, it was always a dream to manage Liverpool  but that will not happen.”

The 65 year old has won league titles in Portugal, Sweden & Italy. He has always been a Red’s fan as it has been in the family.

He was in charge of England for 6 years getting into quarter finals in all of the major competitions and getting that memorable 5-1 win over Germany. He was unable to bring a trophy back home for England despite having some of the countries top players to his disposal. The ex-England manager feels that he has unfinished business with the country however doesn’t worry about that as he has no intention of taking over the side again.
