John Terry’s superb form for Chelsea means the club have to offer him a new deal according to his former defensive partner David Luiz.
Terry has been with the Blues since the age of 14 and has captained the London outfit for over 10 years, since being appointed skipper by Jose Mourinho back in 2004. Questions loomed over his future last summer before signing a new one year deal.
But, Chelsea have no option but to retain the centre half claims his former team-mate Luiz, due to his brilliant form this season.
The Brazilian said “I played next to John for a long time. He is having another great season with Chelsea, maybe one of his best.
The player then added “I am sure there is no question about Chelsea renewing his contract for another season, with the way he is playing he has made it impossible for them not to.”
The 34 year-old has featured 21 times so far this campaign as the Blues top the Premier League table.
