10. Edinson Cavani – €64,5m (Napoli to PSG 2013)

In number two is Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani, the Uruguayan takes up second spot on the Top 10 Biggest Transfer Fees in Serie A following his move from Napoli to Paris Saint Germain for €64,5 million making him one of the most expensive footballers of all time and breaking Falcao’s transfer fee of €60 million when he joined French side AS Monaco. Edinson Cavani is strong, quick and prolific striker with a good technique.

The Uruguayan is still playing for Paris Saint Germain but his contract expires at the end of the season.

9. Joao Cancelo – €65m (Juventus to Man City 2019)

Cancelo is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a defender for Mancehster City in the Premier League. Cancelo was on loan at the Serie A team Inter Milan during the 2017–18 season, in which he was included in Serie A’s Team of the Year.

His performances sparked the interest of Italian rivals Juventus, who signed him in 2018 for a reported fee of €40 million. During his stint with Bianconeri, Cancelo won the league and the Supercoppa Italiana in his first and only season. In 2019, he was signed by English club Manchester City, becoming one of the Top 10 Biggest Transfer Fees in Serie A History.

Romelu Lukaku is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Serie A club Inter Milan. He reached his fame while playing on loan for Everon in the Premier League. After helping Everton reach a club-record points tally, he joined the team in a permanent deal. Named in the 2016–17 PFA Team of the Year, Lukaku signed for Manchester United in 2017.

Howver, after only two seasons in England, he left to join Inter Milan for a record sum of €65 million.

In 2013 he moved back to AC Milan before finally joining Orlando City in the MLS.

He announced his retirement from football in late 2018.

Matthijs de Ligt is a Dutch footballer who plays as a defender for Serie A club Juventus and the Netherlands national team. On 24 May 2016, he became the youngest player ever (17 years and 285 days old) to play in a major European final when he started against Manchester United in the 2017 UEFA Europa League Final. Later in December 2018, De Ligt won the Golden Boy award, becoming the first defender to win the award.

He became popular for being named the youngest captain of Ajax in March 2018, who scored the winning goal in the Champions League quarter-final against Juventus to send Ajax on to the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since the 1996–97 edition of the tournament. Pogba is a French footballer who plays for Premier League club Manchester United and the French national team. He operates primarily as a central midfielder, but can also be deployed as an attacking midfielder, defensive midfielder, and deep-lying playmaker.

After beginning his senior career with Manchester United two years later, limited appearances persuaded him to depart to join Italian side Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, where he helped the club to four consecutive Serie A titles, as well as two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
