Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made a U-turn on his opinions about fourth spot in the Premier League as he admits that it isn’t as rewarding as it was last year.

The Gunners have snatched fourth spot on the final day of the season for the last two years, but today they will go to Norwich City knowing that they’ve already guranteed Champions League football next season.

In previous seasons, Wenger said that finishing top-four was like winning a trophy, but this season, he has admitted that it’s not as rewarding.

It will be a season of what-ifs for Wenger and his side as they were table-toppers for 128 days of the season, but it looks like Manchester City who will be crowned champions, who have been top for just 11 days.

“I’m at the stage where we want to win the Premier League and we didn’t win it, so compared to last season we are frustrated.

“Last year it was an achievement to get in the top four because we needed to win the last 10 games.

“This season we were in a strong position and we lost our strong position.

“But we were close. Had we kept everybody fit we would have had a good chance.”
