Tottenham and Everton hold talks with Chelsea man

The agent of Romelu Lukaku has confirmed that he is in talks with both Tottenham Hotspur and Everton regarding a potential £20million move from Chelsea.

The Belgium striker has been on-loan away from Stamford Bridge for the last two seasons, having spent last year at West Bromwich Albion, and this year at Everton, but it finally looks like Jose Mourinho is willing to sell him permanently as he eyes a world-class striker this Summer.

Christophe Henrotay, who is Lukaku’s representitive, has confirmed that he’s held formal talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, but is also frequently discussing a permanent move to Goodison Park as well with manager Roberto Martinez.

‘I have had talks with Daniel Levy, but there is nothing agreed with Tottenham,’ said Henrotay. ‘I am talking to different clubs, but it is true that there are not exactly 20 clubs who can afford Romelu.’

It is believed that Champions League football is wanted by Lukaku, so if The Toffees could pip closest-rivals Arsenal to fourth-place, a deal for the 20-year-old would be all-but done and dusted as it doesn’t look like Spurs will be finishing top-four this year after a calamitous few weeks.
