Spurs are on the lookout for another striker this summer
Tottenham are considering a move for Breel Embolo, according to reports.
Spurs are eager to bring in a new striker this summer and have identified the Swiss star as one of their main targets.
The club were eager to sign Michy Batshuayi and believed a deal could be done to bring him instead. However, West Ham have now entered the race to sign him and are willing to pay whatever it takes to sign him.
Spurs are also believed to prefer Embolo in general compared to Batshuayi, as they feel that not only could the current FC Basel forward be one for the future but he could also play a part now, with the 19-year old able to both score and set up goals for other players like Harry Kane.
RB Leipzig also keen
However, it is this big potential and ability that have caused the asking price to be rather large for the player. Basel are believed to want at least £20m for the striker but could ask for even more than that, especially if there is competition for his signature.
RB Leipzig are also keeping an eye on the talented youngster and could also launch a bid for him. Spurs though believe that business can certainly be done for Embolo and can match whatever Leipzig offer and more, due to their successful season in the Premier League.
Their second place finish would also appeal to Embolo, as it means they can offer him Champions League football next season if he was to move to White Hart Lane.
