Tottenham are planning a £70million summer transfer bid for Napoli star and Arsenal target Victor Osimhen
According to reports, Spurs attempted to sign Osimhen during the January transfer window. The Partenopei, on the other hand, rejected the request made by the north Londoners, who are still trying to add a striker to their squad.
The Premier League giants, on the other hand, intend to return for the Nigeria international once the season is over. Spurs look to have chosen to pay the Serie A club’s asking price for the 23-year-old.
After a £30 million agreement with the French champions, Napoli signed the Nigerian ace in 2020.
Since then, Osimhen has lit up Diego Armando Maradona’s stadium, tallying 19 goals and five assists in 46 games.
This season, the former Wolfsburg star also scored nine goals and assisted on two others in 16 outings across all competitions.
Regardless of Harry Kane’s future, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is keen to recruit a new centre-forward.
Conte uses two forwards in his 3-5-2 premium lineup and will need to cover both Kane and Son Heung-min if both are available next season.
