Di Maria has struggled for regular first team football since the arrival of new manager Carlo Ancelotti and record signing Gareth Bale. He has also managed just 2 league goals this seaon and this lead to reports strongly linking him with Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
However the big spenders are set to miss out on the chance to sign the winger in January as the 25 year-old has ruled out a move.
Di Maria said: “I do not want to go. I want to win my place in the team. Not me, nor anyone in my camp, has asked for a new contract. What came out was lies.”
“I have been through some difficult days. I am just thinking about Real Madrid and I am still working hard. I have to keep going and try to earn a place in the team.”
