Trappatoni claims Juventus should sell Pogba

Giovanni Trappatoni believes Juventus should sell star man Paul Pogba if a team makes a bid of £75m for him. The ex-Republic of Ireland manager thinks it would be well worth selling him for that amount as they would then be able to strengthen the depth of their squad.

Pogba has been linked with a return to the Premier League in a big money move after being released by Man United. The Red Devils want the Frenchman back and Chelsea have also registered an interest in him. The player’s agent has only fuelled this interest by claiming that an exit is possible at the end of the season.

Trappatoni believes that if a bid is made of £75m or more in the summer, then Juve should definitely let him go. He said: “Pogba’s a great player but he is not Lionel Messi, otherwise it would be a sacrilege to sell him.

“For £75m it is better to sell him. You can then get three players from medium-to-high European clubs.”

But will Juventus be so willing to sell one of their star players for that amount? I’m sure we will find out come the summer transfer window.
