Both Pepe Reina and Gonzalo Higuaín are undertaking medicals in Rome in order to complete their moves to Napoli.
Pepe Reina is expected to sign a season-long loan after Liverpool admitting that his wage bill was too much to pay following the signing of Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
Gonzalo Higuaín will also move to Napoli after having been a big target for both Arsenal and Chelsea. Real Madrid’s asking price was too much for Arsenal but for Benitez, who got money from Cavani’s move to PSG, it was easy to pay.
The fee Napoli will have to pay Real Madrid is around £35-£37 million.
