Manchester United are ready to meet Atletico Madrid’s Miranda’s buy-out clause of £24million, and offer him a contract that he cannot refuse.
Miranda has told Atletico to let him go, as he is willing to face new challenges elsewhere, and after being left out of the Brazil squad for the World Cup, he feels the time is right to move on.
Barcelona are also keen on the defender, but it is understood Manchester United are currently front-runners for the defender’s signature.
Atletico are desperately trying to keep hold of Miranda, but with United set to meet the player’s buy-out clause soon, the club will find it hard to keep their star man.
United will offer the defender a huge wage to join them, as Van Gaal is wanting to bulk up his defence for next season.
