Manchester United are ready to make a last ditch attempt to capture Germany star Mats Hummels.
Following the recent departures of the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, United are desperate to bring in quality centre-backs that will easily fit into the new formation set by boss Van Gaal.
Eventhough Dortmund have insisted that none of their stars will be sold this summer (including Hummels), United will test the German club’s resolve with an £30 million pound offer.
If Dortmund were to reject, it appears that the Red Devils will make a move for Ajax versatile defender Daley Blind or Roma’s Benatia instead.
United are in need of defensive cover and see Hummels as the ideal player for the team.
