Unsettled Chelsea star to swap Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford?
Out of favour Chelsea defender David Luiz could be set to leave Chelsea and move to rivals Manchester United, according to the Daily Express.
The Brazilian star angered Antonio Conte when he questioned his tactics after the Blue’s defeat to Roma, and looks to no longer have a future at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho is monitoring the situation say the Express, and could look to take advantage by making a move for Luiz in January.
The 30 year-old played under Mourinho for one season during his first spell at Chelsea, before the Portuguese manager sold him to PSG for £50million in 2014.
He then resigned for the Blues two years later for ÂŁ34million. Roman Abramovich supposedly wants to at least recoup that figure.
Luiz would be open to a move to United. He is angry with Conte and could see joining a rival as a form of revenge against the club.
With the World Cup coming up next summer, he will want to be playing so a January move does not look out of the question. He was not included in the Brazil squad for their recent friendlies against Japan and England.
