Manchester United FC new player in and out 2017-18. Here is the Manchester United Squad 2017-18. The January transfer window 2017 is closed and we have the full Manchester United transfers list 2017 with all Manchester United new player signings 2016/17.

Manchester United have had a mixed season compared to their original expectations. With the arrival of Jose Mourinho, United were expected to do very big things. They had their sights set on Premier League glory. However, neither of those ambitions were met. Now, Jose will have to take a good look at his squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.

The signings he made in the 2016/17 season had mixed results. The most notable among them were world-record signing, midfielder Paul Pogba. He arrived from Juventus for £89million. However, if we’re being honest, Pogba has not yet justified such a high price tag. Perhaps their best signing of the season was the veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who arrived for free. He had a fantastic season at Old Trafford but got injured late on.

Manchester United 2017 targets

United have been linked with several players so far in this summer. They have been linked with Antoine Griezmann, the Atletico Madrid striker. Any deal struck for him would likely better the £89million paid for Pogba last season, meaning another world-record. They have also been linked with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who reportedly wants out of Goodison Park. At the back, they have targeted Victor Lindelof, who is a centre-back for Benfica. He would be a good partner for Eric Bailly. Bailly signed last summer and has impressed in a United shirt this season.

Manchester United 2017/2018 Squad

How does the Man United first team for 2017/18 season looks like? The Manchester United line up 2017/18 season will consist of these players.

Manchester United FC Goalkeepers

  • David De Gea
  • Sergio Romero

David De Gea and Sergio Romero have been the featured goalkeepers for United this season. De Gea has played most of the league games and has been outstanding as usual. His form has caught the attention of Real Madrid, who recently bid £60million for him. That big was rejected but it’s likely to be followed up with more.

Manchester United FC Defenders

  • Eric Bailly
  • Phil Jones
  • Luke Shaw
  • Marcos Rojo
  • Chris Smalling
  • Daley Blind
  • Antonio Valencia
  • Matteo Darmian

United have had mixed fortunes in their defending this season. Sometimes they are great at the back, but other times, they are woeful. Eric Bailly has been a good addition to the squad, and Antonio Valencia has been great as a makeshift right-back. The potential addition of Victor Lindelof will be good for United, as he is a big leader who will add quality to their situation at the back.

Manchester United FC Midfielders

  • Paul Pogba
  • Juan Mata
  • Jesse Lingard
  • Adnan Januzaj (loaned out to Sunderland AFC)
  • Michael Carrick
  • Ashley Young
  • Henrikh Mkhitaryan
  • Ander Herrera
  • Marouane Fellaini

United’s midfield has been strong this season despite injury problems. Paul Pogba has been alright but hasn’t performed to perhaps the standard we expected. However, he did show glimpses so maybe we’ll see better from him next season. Marouane Fellaini has proved a good asset for Jose Mourinho, scoring a few important goals this season.

Manchester United FC Forwards

  •  Zlatan Ibrahimovic
  • Wayne Rooney (c)
  • Marcus Rashford

These are the strikers in the Manchester United FC squad. The signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for free turned out to be a stroke of genius from Jose Mourinho. He got a total of 28 goals this season, which is excellent for a 35 year old playing in such a top league. Marcus Rashford has equally impressed. He burst onto the scene in the 2015/16 season and has continued to show good form this season under Jose Mourinho.

Wayne Rooney is a man who has struggled this season. He has not been on his top form for a few years now, and has found himself on the bench a lot this season. Rumours have been linking him with a move away from Old Trafford. It is a club has been at since 2003, but maybe now is the time to move elsewhere and try and get some playing time. It will be interesting to see where Rooney is playing next season.
