Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has accused his team-mates of playing in his position and getting in his way, after they were easily beaten by Greek side Olympiakos last night 2-0 in the Champions League.

A poor season for David Moyes and co. hit a new low last night as it was easily their worst performance of the season, and it leaves their chances of any glory this campaign hanging on by a thread, and after the game, Van Persie couldn’t hide in his emotions.

It was in fact the Dutchman that had the best chance for United, but unlike the former-Arsenal striker, he blasted over from inside the box.

It took until the 89th minute for the Premier League side to produce a shot on goal, and after the game, Van Persie put it down to players getting in his way.

“It was quite difficult because my team-mates are often in the area where I want to play,” he said.

“That’s why I have to change my tactics. Unfortunately, they are often in my area.

“It was much too slow and we only had one shot on target in the whole match against Olympiakos, which is far too little. Everyone is very disappointed.”
