Arsenal remain very active in the transfer market with 3 hours left to go before the transfer window slams shut for British clubs with a striker the top priority for Arsene Wenger.

According to Sky sources Danny Welbeck had completed a medical at the Emirates ahead of a proposed transfer but this has been categorically denied by the club and no deal is on the table.

With the gunners desperate for a top class striker to fire in the goals whilst Olivier Giroud sidelined attentions have now seemingly turned solely on one man, step forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The veteran striker has scored an amazing 210 goals in 329 games in his career and has been on the radar of English clubs for years, in the final hours Wenger could land the Dutch international.

There is mixed feelings amonst the Arsenal supporters, a clear call by them for the club to land a top striker on deadline day but at 31 is Huntelaar past his best?

The release clause is throught to be around ÂŁ12million but Arsenal could set to be go all out to get there man or they face up until the new year without an out and out striker.
