Arsene Wenger is to bid £23 million for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
The Gunners are also confident that they can prize away the German international, who has impressed at the World Cup finals so far.
According to the reports in The El Mundo Deportivo newspaper, Wenger has instructed Mesut Ozil, who is a close friend of Khederia’s having spent time with him at Madrid, and the German side, to try and charm the midfielder to the Emirates.
Chelsea are also rumoured to be keen, but the Spanish media claim that Madrid lead the way.
