Gunners stars Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny will be sitting out Arsenal ‘s Premier League opening clash with Liverpool.
The 3 key players have not yet returned to training following their International duties at Euro 2016 with Germany and France.
This leaves manager Arsene Wenger a bit short at the back as well as up top, with Per Mertesacker recently being put on the long-term injury list.
After wining their last match 8-0 in pre-season, Wenger said: “The Liverpool game will come too early for them.”
With Arsenal’s two senior centre-backs now ruled out it opens up roles Gabriel, Calum Chambers and new boy Rob Holding to start in defence.
As for Jack Wilshere who suffered a knee injury last week, will play not play against Man City on Sunday.
However, Wenger is very confident he will be fit for next weekend’s clash.
