Chelsea Football Club and Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois got real during an interview recently, and it may just shock Blue fans.

With the gleam of Belgium’s decent run so far at the European Championships in his eye, Thibaut Courtois gave an interview that has sparked a bit of controversy.

Signed by the Blues back in 2011, the 24-year-old star shot-stopper insisted that he will not see out his career at Stamford Bridge.

Thibaut Courtois told media outlet Sporza: “I will never finish my career at Chelsea”.

The Belgian International goalkeeper also told Sporza how the ‘Brexit’ will affect the Premier League, now that the UK  has voted to leave the EU.

“The pound has already fallen in value. It will have a big impact on the economy and everyone who plays or wants to play in England.”

“There is also the rule that you have to play 70-75% of the matches for your national team to get a work permit in England. That used to be only for non-Europeans. If this rule is not modified, the Premier League will have issues.”
