Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes if his side can beat Italian side Napoli at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, it all-but guarantees them qualification despite it only being the second game of the group-stage.
Both Arsenal and Napoli won their first games against Marseille and Borussia Dortmund respectively and because of that, Wenger believes if his side can beat Rafael Benitez’s side, they will be almost guaranteed a place in the knockout stages.
‘If we win the second game we know we can qualify,’ he said.
‘I wouldn’t say it is already a decisive game – but it is a game that will have a great bearing on who qualifies.
‘If we deal with that situation then we will be in a very positive mood to finish the job.’
