Wolfsburg offer Kevin De Bruyne new contract

Wolfsburg have offered Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne a new contract to fend off interest from Bundesliga rivals as well as abroad.

Both Manchester clubs, United and City, as well as Chelsea, have been linked with a move for De Bruyne.

And with Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich also sounding out a move, Wolfsburg are facing a real fight to hang on to him.

De Bruyne, who is equally adept in central midfield and as a winger, has scored eight league goals so far this season, and created eleven more.

It is believed that a bid of at least ÂŁ30m would be enough to acquire the services of the playmaker.

However, Wolfsburg have no intention of parting ways with their star playmaker, and outlet Lameuse claims that De Bruyne has now been offered a long-term contract which would make him the third best-paid Belgian in world football behind Vincent Kompany and Eden Hazard.

Bayern are believed to be after long-term replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, and believe they can tempt De Bruyne into becoming the latest star to leave Bundesliga rivals for the Allianz Arena.

Borussia Dortmund pair Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski, as well as Schalke’s Manuel Neuer and Stuttgart’s Mario Gomez have all joined in the last year or so.
