Arsenal and West Ham interested in 16 year old Tyrese Campbell

Youngster Tyrese Campbell has refused to sign a new scholarship deal at Manchester City.

It’s thought the 16-year old is fearing about his progression at the club and doesn’t want to put pen to paper at the Etihad, and this has put London sides Arsenal and West Ham United on high alert.

Campbell is the son of former Gunners and Everton striker Kevin Campbell.

City have poured money into their academy set-up as they look to produce first-team players.

And there’s been evidence that City’s investment in youth could be starting to work.

Kelechi Iheanacho and Bersant Celina have both made first-team breakthrough’s from the academy this season.

But this one seems set to fail as the starlet wants out of the North and looks to go down South. He, and a group of other acadamy players are all concerned about the chances they’ll be getting in the side now world-class manager Pep Guardiola has taken charge.

It’s thought Guardiola will have hundreds of millions of pounds to spend on new talent this summer as he looks to build on the underperforming City squad of last season.
