Zlatko Dalic has made himself immortal in Croatian football folklore by guiding the national team to their major World Cup final. Being well-known for choking in major tournaments, Croatia defied all odds to reach the final, beating Argentina and England in the process.
The 51-year old who has been Croatia’s coach for the past 9 months has said that he might consider a move to the Premier League. When asked about coaching at the Premier League, Dalic said, “I can’t really think about that now because it may give the wrong message to some Croatian people when we are about to try to become to the best team in the world. But maybe. Now we have to try to do something big.”
Right now, Dalic’s prime focus is beating France in the final and win the World Cup.
Dalic’s managerial career began in Croatia before he went to Saudi Arabia. He coached four teams in the country from 2010 till before being appointed as Croatia’s coach. He replaced Ante Cacic who was sacked due to poor results in World Cup qualifying.
