OFFICIAL: Van Der Vaart re-joins Hamburg

0

Andre Villas-Boas clearly knows who is in his plans and who isn’t. Selling several players and trying to bring in new players as well. Rafael Van Der Vaart is the latest player to depart White Hart Lane as he joins his former club, Hamburg for a fee of £10m.

The Dutch midfielder played for Hamburg back in 2005 until 2008 making 74 appearances and scoring 29 goals. He then left the German side and joined Spanish giants, Real Madrid where he made 58 appearances.

In 2010 he surprised the world by joining Tottenham Hotspurs on deadline day for a fee of just £8m. He went on to make 63 appearances for the London club and scored 24 goals.

It is reported that he wanted to leave Tottenham because of missing his family who are all situated in Hamberg. He has been given his old kit number, 23.

Joao Moutinho on his way to White Hart Lane

0

A couple of days ago Tottenham boss, Andre Villas-Boas spoke to reporters and said that the deal for Joao Moutinho would never happen because he was way out of Tottenham’s budget. However on deadline day it came out that Spurs and Porto had agreed a fee for the Portuguese midfielder.

Tottenham fans would have been dis-heartened by the loss of Luka Modric and Van Der Vaart, but the news that Moutinho could be on his way to White Hart Lane would cheer them up greatly. The £22m fee that both clubs have agreed will be Tottenham’s most expensive signing, but one fee that Villas-Boas is prepared to pay. The Spurs manager and Moutinho go way back to the days of when Villas-Boas was Porto manager and he was very keen to bring his old player to White Hart Lane and it finally seems like the deal is complete. Moutinho will not jet off to London to complete a medical.

Park Chu Young ends Emirates misery…for now

0

Just as one striker left Arsenal on loan, another one follows. This time it is South Korean captain, Park Chu Young. He has agreed to join Spanish side, Celta Vigo on a season long loan with an option to buy him for £4m at the end of the season.

The South Korean striker joined Arsenal last summer, but never really made an impact for the north London club and only made a couple of appearances and only scored one goal for the club in a League Cup game against Bolton.

Bendtner on his way out of Emirates again

0

The Arsenal striker has made it very clear that he never wants to play for the red of Arsenal FC again, but it seems that he cannot get a permanent deal out of the club. Last year he spent the season on loan at Sunderland and this year it seems that he is going to spend the year in Italy, at Seria A champions, Juventus.

Arsene Wenger has made it very clear that Nicklas can leave Arsenal, but despite his agent saying plenty of clubs are interested, it has taken a long time for Bendtner to find a move out of the club and once again it is only on a loan deal.

However, this loan deal does have a future fee option in it. This means if Juventus are still interested after the loan ends, they have made a £5m agreement with Arsenal in signing the Danish striker.

Clint Dempsey rejects chance to join Villa

0

The race for Clint Dempsey has been heating up in the last few days with plenty of big teams fighting for his signature. Liverpool were favourites to get the American international for a long time, but never really made a formal bid for the Fulham star man.

However, on the deadline day, Aston Villa made a £7m bid for Dempsey which Fulham accepted. It was not done there though. Clint Dempsey then refused to sign for Aston Villa saying he was holding out for a move to Anfield.

With 10 hours left before the transfer window slams shut, will Clint Dempsey get his move to Liverpool?

OFFICIAL: Champions League Draw

All eyes were on Monaco today waiting to see who will get who in the Champions League Group Stages. This is where it all starts for the 32 clubs that have qualified and all of them will be wanting it to end on May 25th at Wembley in the Champions League Final. The Champions League is where all the best players and teams get to show off their amazing talents and is considered the biggest prize in European football. Last year it was won by Chelsea FC after they triumphed against Bayern Munich in the final on penalties. Will they be able to go all the way and win it again, this time in their home town of London?

Theo Walcott set to stay at Arsenal

0

A lot of speculation has been building over the last couple of days that Theo Walcott might be joining Robin Van Persie and Alex Song out of the Emirates Stadium, with Manchester City and Liverpool ready to pounce, however all these rumours have been slashed by Arsene Wenger confirming that Theo will be staying at Arsenal beyond the deadline day.

Theo Walcott is in his last year of his contract at Arsenal and reports started that Theo and the club were in talks over him signing a new deal, however after a first meeting with Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, Theo and the club failed the reach an agreement which then caught the attention of Liverpool and Manchester City.

On Thursday, it was reported that after several more meetings, Theo Walcott and the club came to a verbal agreement that will see Theo Walcott stay at Arsenal this summer at least. Arsene Wenger has confirmed that talks are ongoing and he strongly believes that Theo Walcott will stay at the club “he loves”.
