28. Silke Rottenberg is one of the most famous female goalkeeper in Germany

Rottenberg was a member of the German football squad that won the bronze medal in 2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens Olympics. As a player, she has won all there is to win in women’s football. She won the Women’s World Cup in 2003 and 2007. Rottenberg then went on to win UEFA European Women’s Championship in 1997, 2001 and 2005. She announced her retirement in 2008 at the age of 36.
