Manchester United midfielder has no idea whether compatriot will leave
Ander Herrera has spoken out about the future of David De Gea and he has confirmed that no-one knows whether his future is with Manchester United or Real Madrid.
The goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a move to the Bernabeu over the summer, but with no official bid coming as of yet, it looks like the Spaniard may stay put at Old Trafford for another season.
However, reports are suggesting that the deal may not be completely dead, and the La Liga giants may make a swoop before Tuesday’s deadline.
De Gea has just 12-months remaining on his contract, so the Spanish side may wait to sign him on a free this time next year, but as of yet no-one knows where the keeper will be playing football next season.
When asked about his team-mate, Herrera confirmed that no-one knew what was happening about the deal and they are just waiting to find out whether someone materialises before the transfer deadline day.
Herrera Discusses De Gea
“I just can say that for me he is the best in the world, so if he stays with us it will be phenomenal.”
