The Blues have now had two consecutive defeats which have hit Chelsea`s chances of retaining the Premier League title hard.
Especially now that there is a nine-point gap between Conte’s side and Manchester City.
The Chelsea squad is now starting to look a little thin with three key players on the treatment table with hamstring problems.
Crystal Palace claimed a first Premier League win of the season with a 2-1 victory over champions Chelsea at Selhurst Park and following the defeat at the hands of the bottom club in the Premier League, Antonio Conte had this to say,
“We played this game without three important players and that’s not straightforward. We started very badly and it was a very difficult day. But we need also to understand the situation and to continue to work, to find solutions despite our injuries.
“They are big losses for us but we can only accept the situation and then do our best. We have to go game by game, and this season will be very difficult in all aspects. At the end of the season we’ll see what has happened, but we are trying to build something important for the future.
“The only solution I know in this circumstance is to work and work and work and work.’
