A source at Arsenal has said that Arsene Wenger could stay at the club beyond the 3-year contract he recently signed.
Wenger agreed the deal last week to keep him at the Emirates until 2017, but a senior souce at the club has said that ‘Arsene loves the day-to-day involvement with the players as much as ever”.
“So much so that he could well stay beyond the three years”.
It is said that even if Wenger does walk away from management in 2017, Arsenal may offer him a role as a club ambassador to make use of his vast football knowledge. The club will also try this week to tie down Wenger’s backroom staff to new contracts.
